How to create a noir-inspired TV campaign about modern energy efficiency:
Start with the English director of the original, live-action Super Mario Bros. (the movie), the one with Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. Then hire the kid who was about to become famous on TV's Modern Family. Then add the guy who plays JFK in the opening sequence of "Watchmen" (the movie). Then add Johnny Depp's stunt double from "Pirates of the Caribbean."
From the costumes, to the stunt work, to the special TVA Paddywagon, these were so much fun to make.
