Tourism dollars mean everything to destinations like "The World's Most Famous Beach."
So, when the pandemic hit hard in the spring of 2020, Daytona Beach needed to walk a fine line with messaging: responsible but not overly cautious; open but not disrespectful.
Luckily, in those dark days, most travelers were looking for a bright, breezy outdoor space to relax and get away. And when they started their engines that spring and summer, Daytona Beach was the finish line.
